Social responsability 2018
2018 was a momentous year for AYMA. It’s been a year full of interesting projects, excitement about moving forward and the desire for innovation.
Following our company slogan, the director of AYMA, Bárbara Gómez Delgado, has helped us go beyond the limits one step further, in a continuous process of improvement for a new and improved version of AYMA.
The current version of La AYMA started the road towards sustainability; a road already open and a deeply held conviction of all team members at AYMA, but in 2018 was made visible to the public.
AYMA wants to lay the foundation of a business strategy for social responsibility as a process, in order to achieve the highest possible level of commitment for sustainability.

United nations Global compact
AYMA joined the United Nations Global Compact. Because of this step, the leaders of our company better understand the need to establish a business strategy based on values of sustainability and ESG criteria (environmental, social and governance) for 2019.
AYMA was the corporate sponsor of the XIV International Congress on Energy and Natural Resources, which took place in Seville.
AYMA obtained the LOPD Certificate of Compliance, for its commitment to adaptation and compliance to the new law.
Declaration of sustainability
AYMA hired an external consultant for its Declaration so Sustainability adapted to mining and to AYMA’s business sector that will allow it to work with its stakeholders and groups of interest.

Once the content was agreed upon, the Declaration of Sustainability was signed. Implementation of the declaration’s values have taken effect from that moment and the perspective for decision making in the company are be adapted to new needs.
AYMA created a CSR Department and hired Macarena García Coder, expert in Corporate Social Responsibility, as head of the department.
Seminar on women in mining
Our director participated in the Seminar on Women, Mining and Industry, which was celebrated at the San Telmo International Institute. The event was organized by the Canadian Embassy and the Government of Andalusia.
In the Annual Meeting for AYMA’s leaders and department managers, the plan of action was defined for 2019. The event’s theme was sustainability and took place at Hotel Center Seville.
AYMA started, with continued vocation, its Giving Sustainability campaign and the project, Fostering the Imagination.

AYMA joined the Entrepreneurs of Seville Association, with the objective of supporting the need for management based on CSR strategies among business owners in the province.

Bárbara Gómez Delgado, director of AYMA, joins the Foundation Inspiring Girls as a volunteer. It is an organization dedicated to increasing the self-esteem and professional ambitions of girls from all over the world, and helps to connect them with female role models. Their objective is to show girls at a school age the wide range of professions and careers that are out there, without placing any limitations on them because of the fact they are women. They teach them to focus on work and effort and inspire them to raise their aspirations.
AYMA sponsored the young motorcyclist Alfonso Jiménez, Andalusian champion from Sanlucar, in the junior trials competition.
